In a beautiful and fishing village called Predeña (7 kilometers far away the Hostal),there is a golf course. The name is La Junquera and belongs to the Marina´s de Cudeyo town.

3. Altamira Caves (Santillana del Mar).

Prehistoric art has its most important monument in these caves which have been denominated as the Sistine chapel of the art of that age. The caves are located in Santillana del Mar and are considered like an artistic jewel.

The cave paintings date back 14000 years ago and they are lcated on the top of the cave . They represent a wide range of animals such as bisons,stags wild boars as well as horses and so on. They are painted with blood. The real lenght of the cave is about 270 meters in a triangular way and consists of a hall and a gallery. However,the best paintings are located in the side hall, 30meters far away the entrancy. On the walls and top of this part of the caves ,there are black,red and ochre representations of horses, bisons,stags wild boars.

The painter used the most deep and pointed parts of the walls in order to give the most possible and real expression to the paintings.

5. Santillana´s Zoo.

This zoo is located justly in a watercourse of Santillana del Mar close to the Puente San Miguel way. In the zoo, there are hundreds of exotic and different animals that live in a particular environment such as bisons, donkeys and also reptiles and butterflies. Obviously, the environment is lush in terms of vegetation and colours.

The Santillana´s Zoo has some of the most estrange and beautiful primates around the world, as for instance Sumatra, Chimpancés, Lemures, Cercopítecos, Mandriles, Titís, Tamarinos and so on, most of them with their babies.

6. Santillana´s del Mar Collegiate Church.

The Collegiate Church is the main and most significative sign of the village due to its romanesque building that is considered the most important of Cantabria.
The church was dedicated to Santa Juliana, a Christian who was tortured in Asia many years ago. The story of Santa Juliana is part of of a variety of tortures to virgin young people really usual during the Middle Ages. According to that legend ,she suffered the triple torture of being subdued to boiling water as well as, the gear wheel with iron nails. Finally she was cut the throat.In that traditions, it was usual that the mortal remains of the martyr travelled to these places. This could being ckecked in a valuable document that proves that there was a monastery exclusively dedicated to Santa Juliana. This building was renamed from Planes to Sant Juliana-Santullana-Santillana.

According to the history, this monastery where were the remains of the martyr was refurbished like the Collegiate Church in the century XII.

7. Cabárceno´s Natural Park.

This Naural Park is considered like a spectacular animal paradise of about 750 hectares and more than 500 different animals representing all zoological communities around the world. If you visit this nature reserve, you will be able to look up a spectacle of strange and exotic faune that is procreating themselves in a thousand-year-old. The visit to this Natural Park is really handy because you can travel by car whilst looking the animals. There are 17 kilometers of ways and alternative routes where you can whether go for a walk or by bike.

On the other side, the park consists of calcareous stones that have suffered several alterations.This is the reason why they have a real original and interesting appearance from a scientist point of view. In the Park, there are a wide range of animlas such as elefantes, tigers, lions, monkeys, hippopotamuses, rhinoceroes, zebras, kangarooes, ostrichs, giraffes, camels and animals like that.

8. Castro Urdiales.

Castro Urdiaes is an antique village that consists of fantastic buildings and beautiful and quiet parks reflecting a mix of modern and antique aspect. Teh most interesting buildinds are the following:

•  Santa Maria de la Asunción Church.

It is the most important Ghotic monument of the whole region and dates back the century XIII. It has a staiscase in the fornt of the building which is surrounded by two magnificant towers. It consists of three botas.The central one is two times taller than two others.The arquit abse is surrounded by three chapelsof polygonal floor and it is separated by straight stretches. In one the these streches,there was opened a chapel of square floor, exactly in 1612.

· Lighthouse Castle.

The Castle is place close to the Santa Maria´s Church.It is one of the scarce and conserved castles in Cantabria. Its structure is in a pentagonal way.
